May I claim/write ________?
You may write anything except real people fiction for this community. Canon and non-canon alternate universes and alternate realities are fine. Het, slash, interspecies, and gen are all fine. If your story includes a particularly squicky element, it may be in your best interest to include a warning in the header.

May I claim a non-romantic pairing?
When you claim a pairing, you may write it as a friendship or a romance. However, a Data/Geordi friendship counts as the same subject as a Data/Geordi romance. Which is to say: You may not claim Data/Geordi friendship under a theme if Data/Geordi romance is already taken.

Do I have to write a different story for each theme?
No. Each theme could be used to inspire a chapter or scene or portion of a story. However, please devote at least 100 words to each theme.

A story I've already written fits one of my themes. May I post it here?
While I would prefer that all stories posted for this challenge are new, you may post old stories if they fit the themes. However, please do not use more than two old stories for your themes.

May I draw instead of writing for my claim?
Not at this time, but you may illustrate your story.

If you have any other questions, please ask them here.

1) Join the community. You will not yet be able to post, but once your request is accepted, I will give you posting access. If you have not joined when you comment, you will not recieve your claim.
2) Check the claims list to make sure your subject is not taken in the theme set you are claiming.
3) Comment to this post. Your request should look similar to this:

Username: babel (Be sure this is the journal you joined the community with and will be posting with.)
Series: Enterprise (Write out the series name.)
Subject: Pairing - Jonathan Archer/T'Pol (Write out the character's entire name. If you want to claim the entire series, write "General Series.")
Theme Set(s): I, II, III. (Please list all sets. Do not write "I-III" to avoid confusion.)

4) Please do not start writing your stories until I've commented to you, letting you know you've been accepted.

Theme Sets [Apr. 20th, 2006|12:49 pm]

Notes:
- You may choose as many theme sets as you like for your claim, but only one person may have a particular claim in each theme set. For example, if you have claimed Picard and no one else has, you may claim theme sets I and II, but if someone else has claimed Picard and is writing him for theme set I, you may only write theme set II or other sets. Check the claims list to see which themes are being used for which claims.

- Stories based on these themes do not have to be a direct retelling of the myth. The story need only be inspired by the myth, even if only by free association.

- Themes in parenthesis are to be used if you are not inspired by the myth.

- When researching myths you aren't familiar with, try looking up the theme on Wikipedia or Google. If you cannot find the meaning for any of these themes, feel free to comment, and I will help you.

- Earth is used in these themes to mean any planet or simply soil.
